Individual Budgets

The Government has recently launched a new initiative which Social Workers have to adhere to when visiting Service Users and setting up care packages. This is called ‘Individual Budgets’.

If a Service User chooses to receive a budget (money) directly from Social Services then they can choose the Care Provider they want to provide their care.

Carewatch Bath has a good understanding of Individual Budgets and was part of the Bath and North East Somerset Council Pilot.

If you currently receive an Individual Budget or are looking at the option of receiving one, then the staff at Carewatch Bath will be happy to meet with you and advise and assist you in setting up your care package using your budget.

Your care package will be tailor made to meet your outcomes and we will work with you to make sure it is within your individual budget allocated by Social Services.

Individual Budgets are a fantastic way for you to ensure that your support plan allows you to meet all of your needs and outcomes and Carewatch Bath has trained staff to ‘hold your hand’ through this process so it is stress free and you get everything you want from a care package.
