Care Agency Bath celebrates 10 years in business!

This July, Carewatch Bath celebrates its tenth anniversary as a quality care provider to hundreds of people across Bath and North East Somerset.

Founded by Ian and Sue Dutton and beginning in one small office in Midsomer Norton, the organisation today occupies an entire floor of the same building. Having grown steadily throughout the past decade, it now provides 1,700 hours of care per week to people with a range of different needs.

And while Carewatch Bath might not be the most instantly recognisable brand in the High Street, it has also become one of the town's biggest employers. With 71 care workers and seven office staff, the organisation has developed an important role in the community in more ways than one. Despite the recession, it is also currently on a recruitment drive for new care workers.

Carewatch Bath has also worked hard to develop excellent relations with local government and care homes, becoming a Strategic Partner of the Local Authority for Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) and a key care provider for the area's Primary Care Trust.

The company's story is also something of a family affair, with management of the company passing from parents Ian and Sue to their daughter Caroline Burfield in 2005 .

Managing Director Caroline is understandably proud of the organisation's achievements and its contribution to the wider community.

"It's ten years since my parents first opened the doors at Carewatch Bath, with the aim of providing a new source of quality care to people in Bath and its surrounding towns and villages.

"Looking after our first client and taking on our first care worker were huge milestones, which led to the high standards of care and numerous employment opportunities we can offer today.

"By maintaining our standards and good community relations, Carewatch Bath will continue to provide excellent care services for many years to come."
